Programs

An action-packed program that teaches softball skills to 6 & 7 year olds. This program offers two 1-hour sessions per week that teach the basics of how to throw, catch, field and hit. Lots of fun for young girls and helps them become familiar with the game before they enter the Mite division.

We have divisions for girls aged 8 to 19. Our recreational divisions offer the game of softball at a pace that is suitable for new and season players within each division. Games are located at various diamonds throughout the City of Kitchener. The program commences in early May and runs through to the second weekend in July. Championship weekend is always the highlight of the season for the players, coaches and parents!

Depending on interest, KMGSA offers a Select program. Typically this program operates upon the conclusion of the Recreational season, and takes some of the more skilled players in the Recreational Division and forms a team that participates in a few out-of-town tournaments in July and early August. Its ideal for those girls that just can't get enough softball once the regular Recreational season ends at the beginning of July.

Our Klassics teams are chosen each September and represent KMGSA and the community in both league and tournaments throughout Ontario, Quebec and the USA. The Representative program is the most competitive level of softball KMGSA has to offer and has one of the lowest Rep fee's in Ontario. The Klassics season begins in January (indoor training) and ends in early August (games start in May). The Klassics operate out of Joe Thompson Sports Field and we invite everyone to come out and see the Klassics in action. Home games are typically Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday nights (different age groups each night).
