Since 1966 KMGSA has been a community-run volunteer association dedicated to providing exciting opportunities for young girls to play a sport with action, strategy and teamwork. In 1966 the association started with 54 girls and the registration fee was $1. Within 2 years the organization expanded to 279 players and over the years has made its mark as a strong softball organization in Ontario.
KMGSA is affiliated with the City of Kitchener and works to improve girls health while teaching them a great sport and making friendships that will last a lifetime. In 2016 there were over 400 girls between the ages of 5 and 19 that participated in one of KMGSA's programs.
